Dear Parents,
As I write this final letter of the year, I am amazed by how fast the time flew by. We had so many wonderful things happen; I thought I would take the opportunity to highlight some of the high points.
- We moved into our new school, fully equipped with a gym.
- We enjoyed many student success celebrations through Student of the Month breakfasts, Honor Roll and Principal’s List parties, Classroom of the Month barbeques, and multiple grade level celebrations.
- Our students and staff continued to focus on increasing student achievement through focused classroom instruction; the inclusion of mandatory interventions, both remedial and advanced, based on individual student data; and after-school academic opportunities including tutoring, Homework Club, and Saturday School.
- Our after school programs, intramurals, Art Club, Rhythm Works, and Upbeats continued to gain momentum.
- Our students and staff showed their commitment to the community with our Wipe Out Graffiti Day and participation in the American Heart Association’s Jump Rope for the Heart event.
- Our teachers and staff members gained recognition for their phenomenal work and dedication with the Excellence in Education Award going to first grade teacher Danielle Iskiw, the Certified Employee of the Month award going to Becky Aidem, and the Classified Employee of the Month award going to Mitch Garcia.
As we wind things down and begin planning for next year, we will be saying good-bye to some of our staff members and wishing them all well in their future endeavors. But, with each good-bye, we will say hello to new Cash family members who will step in and provide the very best for your students.
I would like to thank everyone for their support of the school and the staff as we work to create a community of learners. I look forward to our continued relationship next year as we serve the children of M.C. Cash.
Have a safe summer.
Sincerely,

Lisa Sandomir, Principal
